How MINDFULNESS PRACTICES and TRAUMA-INFORMED YOGA enhance therapy for those who have experienced the effects of trauma in their lives

At the conclusion of this workshop the therapist will:

  • Become familiar with research and innovations that demonstrate the efficacy of mindfulness and trauma-informed Yoga as components of remediating the effects of trauma
  • Discover how specifically designed mindfulness practices and trauma-informed yoga can generate healing through carefully paced intensive work to establish bottom-up self-regulation, somatic awareness, acceptance of internal experience, emotional flexibility and self-compassion
  • Differentiate patients/clients whose treatment can be enhanced by such an approach and those for whom it would not be appropriate
  • Identify resources that assist in implementing these practices into clinical work, including Mindful Presence , a 12-week course for clients

$50 registration includes 3 core ceu’s from GSCSW
3 related ceu’s for LPC’s
